Bespoke software development
Business software solutions built around one organisation's process: booking engines, project trackers, asset registers and the admin tools staff use all day.
Ticketing that copes with a sunny Saturday, a client app a design studio can be proud of, a booking system for a campus department: SpiderHunts designs and builds it. Our developers are in Lahore, not Greenwich, and you meet them on video at hours that suit you. Your first consultation is free.
Thanks, that’s with us.

At a glance
SpiderHunts offers software development services in Greenwich, the south east London borough (Royal Borough of Greenwich), covering bespoke software, web applications, mobile apps, AI tools and SaaS products. Prices are published: internal tools from £8,000, cross-platform apps from £15,000, business web applications from £20,000 and SaaS from £30,000.
None of our team is in Greenwich, and there is no SpiderHunts office anywhere in the borough. The developers and designers work together from Lahore. Our UK registered office is 182-184 High Street N, Office 14607, London E6 2JA, north of the river in East Ham, and it is a registered office only. Meetings are video calls in your working hours.
The company behind the name is SpiderHunts Technologies Ltd, registered in England and Wales in 2025 as company number 16718403. It carries on a SpiderHunts business that has worked with more than 1,000 clients since 2020.
We are a software company serving Greenwich, not an IT support firm. That means bespoke business software, web development, mobile app development, SaaS development, AI development including AI agents, and automation between the systems you already run.
Around those we offer technology consulting on what to buy, build or connect, CRM setup, WordPress websites and SEO.
Greenwich is several economies in one borough. Visitors fill the town centre, the market and the riverside; creative studios have settled on the Peninsula near the O2; the university brings students and staff; and new homes keep rising in Woolwich, Charlton and Kidbrooke. Each sector asks something different of its software.
That is why we start most Greenwich projects with a clickable prototype, so you can test the idea with real users before paying for a full build. For neighbouring areas, see our Croydon page, or the London and UK pages.
Services
Eight services from one team, so the app, the website and the system behind them are designed together instead of stitched together later.
Business software solutions built around one organisation's process: booking engines, project trackers, asset registers and the admin tools staff use all day.
Customer portals, booking flows and data-heavy web applications, designed to work just as well on a visitor's phone as on an office screen.
Visitor guides, loyalty and ordering apps, and field apps for site managers, built for iOS and Android with offline use where signal is unreliable.
Subscription platforms with multi-tenant accounts, billing and admin, for founders and studios turning a service or internal tool into a product.
Chat assistants trained on your own content, document classification and AI agents that complete routine tasks, with a person approving anything that matters.
Connecting ticketing, booking, finance and CRM tools through their APIs so records stay consistent without anyone copying and pasting.
Technology consulting on choosing systems, planning a build, integration and automation options, and AI readiness. We do not provide help desk or network support.
WordPress sites that load fast, a CRM that tracks every enquiry, and search work so visitors and buyers can find you.
Common pain points
The details differ between a riverside café, a peninsula studio and a Woolwich contractor, but the underlying trouble is often the same: tools that do not talk to each other.
Have an idea but not sure it needs custom software at all?

Example briefs
Illustrative examples, not client results. Each describes a realistic brief for a type of local organisation and how we would approach it.
A booking system that holds live availability, receives reseller bookings through their APIs, sends guides their manifests on a phone, and handles weather cancellations and refunds in a few clicks.
Aim: no double bookings on the busiest days
The studio owns the design and the client relationship; we build the app and its back end to their designs, with the code delivered into the client's own repository.
Aim: a studio that can say yes to app briefs
A web app for ordering ahead and booking tables, linked to the till, with a kitchen screen and a simple report showing which hours and dishes earn the most.
Aim: more direct orders, fewer commission payments
Staff and students book studios, kit or event spaces through a single portal with approval rules, sign-in through existing accounts, and usage data built to support UK GDPR requirements.
Aim: resources booked fairly and actually used
Site managers log snags with photos and locations on a tablet, assign them to trades, and produce a handover pack for each home when every item is closed.
Aim: handovers on schedule with a full paper trail
A subscription product with sign-up, billing, one core workflow and an admin view, built small enough to reach paying users before the money runs out.
Aim: evidence from real customers before scaling up
Our approach
We test ideas on screen before we spend your money on code. Everything is agreed in writing and discussed on video calls in your hours.
A video call about the users, the problem and the deadline. We ask which tools you already run and what has been tried before, and we say early if something you already own could do the job.
For anything with a user interface, we design the key screens as a clickable prototype that you and a few real users can try. Changing a prototype costs a fraction of changing finished software.
With the prototype agreed, you receive a written quote covering scope, exclusions and an estimated timeline. Anything outside it is priced separately and agreed in writing before work begins.
Code lives in a repository you own from the start. We demo working features on video at regular points, collect your feedback in writing, and keep a running log of decisions so nothing is lost.
We launch in stages where we can, then hand over the code, credentials, documentation and a recorded walkthrough. Ownership of the code passes to you on full payment under the contract. Later work is quoted separately.
Clear scope · Regular demos · Full handover
Fit check
Often yes. Sometimes no, and it is better to know now.

Technology
Mainstream, well-supported technology that another team could maintain after us, and that plugs into the systems Greenwich organisations already use.
Sectors
The Royal Borough's economy leans on visitors, creativity, learning and building. These are the organisations whose processes most often justify software built for them.
FAQ
Clear answers to what people ask us, and ask AI assistants, before hiring a software development company near Greenwich.
Still have a question?
Ask us directly. A senior engineer reads every question.
Ask about your projectNo, we have no office in Greenwich or anywhere else in south east London, and nobody on our team is based there. SpiderHunts Technologies Ltd uses 182-184 High Street N, Office 14607, London E6 2JA, in East Ham, as its registered office only. The whole team works from Lahore, and you meet us on video calls arranged in your working hours.
An internal tool or MVP costs £8,000 to £20,000, and a business web application £20,000 to £45,000. Cross-platform mobile apps cost £15,000 to £35,000, native apps with complex integrations £25,000 to £60,000, and SaaS platforms start from £30,000. Larger platforms begin at £45,000. Each Greenwich project is confirmed in a written quote with scope and exclusions agreed up front, after a free consultation.
Choose on evidence rather than on claims. Ask every shortlisted agency for verified reviews on independent platforms (SpiderHunts has 4.6 on Clutch), a written quote that lists scope and exclusions, a contract confirming you own the code, and references you can contact. A clickable prototype before the main build is also a good sign. Our free consultation lets you test us against those points.
No, SpiderHunts is a software company rather than an IT support provider. We do not run a help desk, maintain computers, networks or servers, supply hardware or cabling, administer Microsoft 365, or visit premises. Our IT consulting is technology and software consulting: choosing systems, planning a build, integration and automation advice, and judging AI readiness. For day-to-day IT support, use a dedicated support firm.
Yes. We build cross-platform iOS and Android apps for visitors, such as guides with maps and audio, ticket wallets, loyalty schemes and ordering, plus staff apps for scanning tickets or running tours. Many visitor needs are met just as well by a mobile-friendly web app, which costs less and needs no download, so we compare both options with you before you commit.
Yes, provided the arrangement is clear in writing. Peninsula studios and agencies can keep the design and the client relationship while we build the app, web application or back end to their designs. The contract sets out who owns the code, who talks to the end client and how changes are approved. Pricing follows our published ranges and a written quote.
Yes. SaaS development starts from £30,000 and normally covers sign-up, multi-tenant accounts, subscription billing, one core workflow and an admin area. We encourage a small first release that paying customers can use, then improvements based on what they actually do. Code sits in your own repository throughout, which keeps things simple if you raise investment or hire an in-house team later.
The most useful AI work is usually narrow and practical. Examples include an assistant that answers visitor or student questions from your own approved content, tools that classify and summarise incoming documents, and AI agents that prepare routine replies for staff to approve. We assess the specific task first, because plain automation is sometimes cheaper and more reliable than AI.
Yes. Web development covers customer portals, booking flows and full web applications, plus corporate websites from £3,000 to £12,000, usually on WordPress for sites your staff will edit themselves. Where a site needs to talk to a booking engine, CRM or finance package, we build those connections too, so the website and the systems behind it share the same data.
Lahore is five hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time in winter, and four hours ahead when the UK moves to British Summer Time. That puts our working day across your morning and early afternoon, which is when calls are booked. Nobody from SpiderHunts visits in person, so every meeting is on video, and written notes follow each call so decisions are recorded.
You do. Ownership of the code transfers to you on full payment, as stated in the contract, and the data always belongs to your organisation. The repository, hosting, domains and app store accounts are set up in your name, and handover includes documentation and credentials. Any competent developer can carry the work on, so you are never locked in to SpiderHunts.
We build software to support UK GDPR requirements, with role-based access, audit logs, encryption, retention and deletion rules, and tools for handling access and erasure requests. Your organisation remains the data controller, so privacy notices and Information Commissioner's Office registration stay with you. If we process personal data on your behalf, we put a written data processing agreement in place before work begins.
