What is a website care plan?
A website care plan is a monthly service that keeps a website running well after launch. Ours covers hosting, software and security updates, regular backups, speed checks, a set allowance of small edits each month and a basic SEO health check, so problems are found and fixed in the normal course of things rather than when a customer spots them.
This package pairs the care plan with the build. We design and build your business website, usually on WordPress or as a custom-coded site, then look after it month by month. If you only need a site built, or you already have one we can take on, we quote for that instead.
SpiderHunts Technologies Ltd is registered in London (Companies House 16718403) and works with clients remotely, by video call. Websites start from £3,000 and the care plan from £150 a month, excluding VAT. Your final price is set in a written quote after a free call, with scope and exclusions agreed up front.

Hosting
Your site hosted on a managed server we set up and look after, with SSL so it shows as secure in the browser.

WordPress core, theme and plugin updates applied and checked each month, so the site does not fall behind on fixes.

Backups
Regular backups of the site and its content kept separately from the server, so it can be restored if something goes wrong.

Speed checks
Page speed and Core Web Vitals checked, with fixes for the common causes of a slow site such as oversized images and heavy plugins.

Small edits each month
A monthly allowance for changes such as new text, images, team members or a blog post from your copy. Bigger changes are quoted separately.

Basic SEO health check
Broken links, missing titles and descriptions, indexing problems in Google Search Console and other basics checked and fixed.

What is included in the care plan?

What counts as a small edit?
Changes such as updating text or prices, swapping images, adding a team member or publishing a blog post from your copy. New pages, new features and redesigns are quoted separately.
Do I have to take the care plan?
No. The care plan is optional. If you would rather look after the site yourself or use another provider, we hand it over with the logins and files you need once it is paid for in full.
Who owns the website?
The site, its content and its design transfer to you on full payment, as set out in your contract. We recommend the domain name is registered in your name.
How long does it take to build a website?
A business website typically takes two to four weeks once the content and design are agreed. Larger sites take longer, and the timeline is set out in your written quote.
Can you look after a website someone else built?
Often, yes. We look at the site first. If it is in reasonable shape we can quote a care plan for it; if it needs work first, we explain what and why.
Is SEO included?
The care plan includes a basic SEO health check: broken links, missing titles and descriptions, and indexing problems in Google Search Console. Ongoing SEO and AI search work is a separate service; see Get Found in AI Search.
Do you build on WordPress?
